Anyone have recommendations for a vw specialist near Bordeaux. My friend has moved out there and is inept with a spanner!

French geography was never a strong point of mine but what about Rudy Olivenca Services ?

I don't speak or can read French but his Racing Facebook page has some very nice work  Wink

Your friend can go to a shop called Bugs Are Us.
It is about 60 km from Bordeaux.

And their is also Origin'all cars close from Angoulême, which is about 120 km from Bordeaux.

Both shops are very serious and they do drag racing both with good quality cars and engine preparations skills.

you should ask for El maestro (https://www.facebook.com/el.maestro.54922?fref=pb&hc_location=friends_tab&pnref=friends.all) if you want to play with big boys motor builder, he's in central Bordeaux :-D

I'd suggest Bugs Are Us too as they are quite close : www.bugs-are-us.net

And if you want to buy new parts delivered fast I suggest to order from Mecatechnic : www.mecatechnic.com

Another vote for bugs are us. To add to the other comments, they Could not do enough to help, know there stuff. And we're really reasonable.
