Anyone know where they are available?
Cheers

I made a simple angled bracket to bolt to the k&l beam , lets you run the balljoint style shocks.

Think Ritchie posted a link to these previously, anyone know if they are suitable for King and link pin?

So the link above is for the rears, but still searching for some fronts.
I spoke with customer services at GAZ and they are confirming which model they have but they do sell a 90/10 shock for beetles

Well if anyone is interested in this apart from me the response from GAZ is that the GT5-2301 shocks are what I need and they will cost £55.00 each + carriage & vat
Hope this helps someone in the future

So that's the part number from GAZ for a 90/10 shock for a link pin beam?

If so.....Ask them if we get discount for 2 pairs. I need a pair for the notch

Lee

After a quick google, are you sure that part number isn't just a standard adjustable shock?

I had the Competition Engineering shocks on the front of my old car. It was balljoint rather than linkpin, but they were 3-way adjustable 90/10, 60/40 and somewhere in between. Muffler Mike had some shock tower extensions to allow him to use longer versions which were easier to get IIRC.

Yes the guy I spoke with said he needed to valve it correctly to be a 90/10 shock, he seemed to be very knowledgeable about it. The rears are the same price but valved differently

Already paid for them and also the rears as in the link, wish I knew about the GAZ rears before I ordered from the states Roll Eyes

Shocks have turned up, look really nice, also came with a graph showing the damping rate for each which is nice

would it be possible for you to put both graphs up of the fronts and rears to show the different damping?

I ordered the balljoint style and cut the eye off some old ones sitting around. Cut the stud off and welded the eye to the top.

Gr henri

They allow the front to rise up easier and stay up longer to keep the weight transferred to the rear for better traction
