Am I right in saying that in the picture below the two stages nearest the engine case are the scavenge pumps and the one furthest from the case is the pressure pump ?

First one from case is pressure pump. Right side in and out from left.

That’s confusing because this car has it set up the other way around with what looks like the pressure being furthest from the case?

I’ve emailed autocraft for clarification anyway.

I think it works both ways. My setup gives 5-6bar oil pressure with cold oil and 4 bar with warm oil.

Yeah I guess it could, I think I read some where that the scavenge gears have to be bigger than the pressure gears for it to efficiently scavenge the oil from the sump but if there’s two sets of scavenge gears then maybe not.

I have one gear set for pressure and two for scavenge. My opinion is that it should be like this.

Given it has the pressure relief valve[brass thing] on section nearest case it was used as pressure section previously

Ok great cheers, so can I remove that pressure relief and use a jaycee bypass filter head instead?
I drew up a diagram trying to work out what goes where but did it with pressure stage at the front so I guess I can just swop it around to the pressure near the case?
It’s a bit of an amateur diagram but I wanted to work it out in my head first.

I wouldn't put bypass into that scavenge line, needs to be unrestricted so into case/sump or into dry sump tank, and I would drain/scavenge heads as well

I have it so turbo drains into case and scavenge does heads, I am not sure on having heads and turbo in same scavenge, it should work but not tried it that way

So this is mk2 diagram with a dedicated return to the tank for the bypass.
The auto craft case has 2 scavenge ports from the sump/case and I have 1 of those ports scavenging on its own stage, the 2nd port from the sump/case is the other scavenge stage but I have teed the heads into this line also.
Would it be more efficient to block one of the 2 ports from the sump/case and have 1 dedicated scavenge stage for the case/sump and 1 for the heads alone?
 I’ve read teeing into other lines can cause issues if the heads are sucking air because it will take the route of least resistance therefore affecting that second sump/case port from scavenging oil properly, or would it be negligible as the other sump/case port has its own dedicated stage.
Plus the heads are above the pump and sump scavenge so gravity is on my side for the oil coming from the rockers.
