Firestone Wide Oval fitment
«

I love the look, so I’m going for it. I’ll be running 5.5 Porsche steelies. I’m planning to keep the stock 67 axle, but I’m questioning how they’ll fill out the fender opening. Or will they rub?... I’m ready to go short axle if I have to... Although I’d rather keep the stock 67 axle length and Z bar.
I have them mounted and ready. I haven’t converted from wide 5 drums yet.

I guess I should mention... Im not going to lower the back, I don’t want any visible camber. Just enough slight camber to make the alignment happy.
Borrowed the pic from another thread... The stance! The look!

You should really change to short axles.

I figured that’d be the case.

Spokes are kinda D shaped in cross section. Wish someone would make a batch of these in magnesium

Hi dude
Are you running 4 stud drums?
Are they wider than 5 stud drums?
The 67 only axles may work

I would fake mount against your wide 5 drums (maybe using only 1 stud to hold them in place or a car jack to hold the drum at the right height and lay the wheel against it) and see how they line up -- -- I had to use a 13mm spacer to push my phone dials OUT to get them to line up in the wheel well in my Ghia..... I've got a couple of Porsche steel full-size spare tire rims that I was going to mount slicks on and I've never compared the outset to the dials.

I will be running 4 lug drums. I don't think they are "wider" than the 5 lug 67 drums. I think I will do like fiatdude suggested and mount the 5x130 steelies up against the wide five drums to get an idea on fitment at the fender lip. Thanks for the replies.
