Hi everyone,

We are going to USA/California for a Rod trip and V Dub hunting and site seeing.
We are landing in San Francisco on 5th of March and going back to Poland on 25th of March.

Any advices where to go, what to see, where to stay (for sure for first few days we will stay in SF and Sacramento - Any advices here to stay?).
We know that on 18th of March will be Bugorama and we are aiming for this event.

If you know about any night cruises or VW meetings around Sacramento, SF, LA let me know.

The list of typical places to visit is long (Sequoia Park, Colorado Canion, Las Vegas, Petersen and NHRA Museum and so on).

Would be cool to meet any one of You CA Guys.

All best
Tom.

If you get a chance, the central coast of California is the best for me. Monterey, Carmel, down to Morro Bay and Santa Barbara.
There is a camping event in OC the 10th &11th , you might be able to take that in. Donut Derilicts in Huntington Beach on Sat. Mornings & various Cars & Coffee events around So Cal. Hope you have a good time while you are here.

Hi,
Thank you for advice, I know both. I'm looking for also small events like club meetings etc. and most of those aren't in the calendars.
The worst thing is that we will miss most of the best bigger events cuz they are just before our arrival or just day after we leave.

If you are around the area on Thursday night, Irwindale Speedway hosts test and tune drag racing/Thursday Night Thunder.  Gates and tech open at 4:00.  I'm hoping to be there with a couple of cars this week. It is 20 minutes from the NHRA museum and 5 minutes away from the Justice Brothers headquarters/museum.  Guaranteed fun, and In and Out just a few minutes away, in almost any direction......

Yesterday (saturday) we were at Huntington Beach. Bus meeting, loads of people, cool place.

Today, NHRA Museum and Petersen.

Hi Guys,

hope you have fun in CAL. I am going next week from 31st till 16th of April for the first time. I will do San Diego and L.A. during the week from 2nd till 5th of April.

My plan is to go to:

Peterson
NHRA
Fat Performance
Gene Berg
Mooneyes
Wolfsburg West
Toy District + Magnus Walker (if possible)
Hot Wheels (Mattel)

Any advise what i missed or how i can manage that within 3-4 days? I´ll drive up from San Diego on the 2nd in the morning and go back on the 5th in the evening. Any hotel recommandations for LA ?

Thanks Greetings

NHRA museum has its cruise night on 4th april so that will give more to see there & be a good time to visit it Smiley

http://nhramuseum.org/apcm/templates/general.asp?articleid=54221

Peterson museum really needs 1/2 a day I feel to really enjoy it

You can come up from San Diego on I 15 to 91 freeway and nearly drive past Wolfsburg west so that makes it easier to get there, then along 91 freeway and drop down 57 to Berg/Fat as they are just 150m apart, and then back on 91 & carry onto 605 freeway and up to Mooneyes store, that is all do able in one day really

cheers Richie
