Anyone have a recent quote on shipping a type 1 gearbox from California to Europe?

My gearbox is soon done at KCR..

If it’s to expensive I might just fly and get it  Roll Eyes

Air freight is 2-3000NOK plus shipping nationally in the US.

Overweight on a flight is 1750 NOK.

And the plane ticket is free...

It’s a fully kitted, aluminium housed gearbox. So around 50kg / 100lbs. A bit over what I’m bothered to carry  Grin

When I was out there I needed to ship some bits back home. I spoke to a lady called Lorna at California Shippimg (Anaheim)
She did a good price for me.

Worth a go

I used Fedex a year ago or so for my KCR trans. Cost around £350 from Cal to the UK

I've heard good things about MyUS.com: https://www.myus.com/no/ . One of their better things is free 30 days storage so you can quite easily combine multiple shipments.

Online-quotes there are about 3000-5000 NOK (400-600$) for a package between 50-100kg's.
