Just wondering , any experiences with this combo:

1915 cc
44x37,5 cb044  heads with matchported short manifolds
Engle 125
1:25 rockers
All msd
48 idas

This is what i concider my backup for this season. Had anyone tried a similar set up before?

I've driven otherwise similar but a bit of more displacement (82 crank) - at a whole it's a very good combo and I believe it'll rock with stock crankshaft also! You'll need to flycut the heads if they have the usual chamber size (55-60cc) to set static compression high enough (10:1 should do it) even with low deck height like 1mm. 46cc and 1mm deck = 10:1 static compression. Should run nicely up to 6500-7000rpm, idles ok maybe in 800-900rpm.

With 12.5:1, 40mm venturies and closer to a W130, advanced 3 degrees, with 1.25:1 rockers, you'd see 189hp @ 7200, powerband from 4300-7900

See the deal is that this is my spare engine, and i really dont wanna split it to change cam etc.. you can say that i am looking for a "quick fix"  Grin
The heads i got are meant for a 2276 , but i am starting to see that time is tight...
but if it works with an 130 , it should with an 125 right?  Huh

if the heads were meant for a 2276 I'm assuming they have big chambers so I'm not sure it would be worth flycutting them so they would work on a 1915 (or running low compression ratio with a w125)

Mr PWolf, I have a Web86B. Great cam that I think will work great with what you are building:

This is Web Cam's most popular "ratio rocker" specific grind, it drives like an Engle 120 but keep pulling! Valvetrain is not "Harsh", but not easy either. This cam requires 9-9.5:1 compression, and the more headwork and carburetion the better it will run. Nice 800RPM idle with dual carbs. This cam works best lots of headwork, 40x35mm or larger. Expect a powerband from 3000 to 7000 RPMs, the more headwork and carburetion the better the top end will be.
