Just finished and available...
Meticulously restored 1966 Beetle. This was a pan on restoration. Extremely solid no accident numbers matching original black plate California car. I completely disassembled this car down to a bare shell, repainted in the original L568 Sea Sand Beige single stage paint. Then carefully reassembled to what you see here. The original German front beam was narrowed 2.5 inches and new ball joints, steering box, tie rod ends, steering damper and dropped spindles were used on reassembly. the original transaxle was rebuilt by Scott at Metalcraft with a taller third and fourth gear for better freeway driving. The original 1300 engine was also rebuilt at Metalcraft with machine in 88mm piston cylinders making it 1679cc. NOS German 1300 cylinder heads were used along with new Weber ICT carburetors a new alternator and an Al`s 1 3/8" merged exhaust. A new Wiring Works wire harness was installed along with all new 12 volt bulbs. The interior has new EMPI reclining bucket seats and the back seat was redone to match. Wolfsburg west supplied all new rubber throughout, carpet and original style floormats, running boards, bumpers, firewall insulation and stainless steel molding. New BRM wheels with 145`s and 205x70 tires. And a leather LeCarra steering wheel and Gene Berg shifter finish it off. LOTS of powder coating including engine tin, gas tank, spare wheel, pedals and other assorted interior parts. This car needs nothing done to it. Just enjoy the ride. The price is $23,500. Feel free to contact me for more info and/or pictures. Bryan Peters Bavapeters@comcast.net or 559-477-9379
