Very scary - could have been very messy. Shocked Roll Eyes

That being said, if the Mustang would have hooked and gone straight, I don't think there would have been much of a race at the top end.  I think the Mustang was easily a 9 second car and that drag bug was probably a low 10 second car.

Fun to watch, but get these idiots of the streets worldwide.

I guess I have been an idiot for many years as I have been street racing and TESTING my car in high speed situations on the street.......If an idiot does his trick on the track or the street it could end up wrong, so could being unlucky too.........Street racing can be done safly and in order. I think that the awareness of the attending audiance safty and safe races is a major player. If racing is done with no people in front of the cars and in a non uncomming traffic situation, harms will be limited, if they happen. I do know that street racing is ileagal but never the less, who has not been speeding away from a traffic light, both women and men I belive!!! Some of my coolest memories of careless youth involves street racing!! Some of the most dangerus situations in my life has been on the track (like dropping a driveshaft in a high 10 second car)!! Happiness is a Hot VW!!

Well I think STREET racing in the city is stupid, but illegal closed country roads is more acceptable.

Everyone who says that he is not street racing when a Honda CRX stands beside has a trailer queen...
I think it is even a very important point in cal-look !
Of cousre it gets more dangerous with more horsepower. Racing a 10sec car on street in full throtle is not such an good idea...

Here is the safest street-racing I ever saw:
