15X6 ERCO WITH 4" BACK SPACING..WILL THEY FIT UNDER STOCK REAR FENDERS?

As the title states. I have 1 1/2" widened rear fenders, but it wold be great to run a stock width fender if possible.
The car isn't together yet so I haven't had time to mock it all up. Just curious if it will work!
Trans is a short axle with type3 5x130 drums.
Car: 1959 VW Beetle
Tires are M&H 26x15x6 Slicks.
Thanks!

I have CMS 6” wheels (CMS produced the ERCO wheels). Mine are 3.5” backspace with short axles and with M&H 215/65 drag tires it fits just nicely under my stock 68 fenders. So you should be fine with 4” backspace.

I have MH 215/65-15s with 5,5" ET30 wheels. Fits under stock fenders easy.
Same with 7" ET23 Porsche rims and 205/70 tires so I guess you are good to go on stock fenders.

Yah, I was thinking it would be fine! Most people run 15x6 with 3.5" pack spacing. So the tires would tuck in another 1/2" and the type 3 drums are a hair wider, so it might wash in the end.
Thanks guys!

If you have adjustable springplates you could have clearance issues on the inside of the tyre. You could always run a small spacer to find tune the position of the wheel.

I won't have adjustable spring plates, however a spacer may not be a bad idea! Thanks!

Same with 7" ET23 Porsche rims and 205/70 tires so I guess you are good to go on stock fenders.
is this with short axles? i have IRS and it seems not possible with the ruff trialfitting i did a few weeks ago.

Short.
I’ve done it on long axles also.

yes they are.
i was putting the 7's on, but no chance. they are too wide on long axles or IRS. without narrowing. but thank you very very much.
