been having a clear out and found a clay smith CS76S cam I picked up a couple of years ago but can't find any info on it
anyone used one ?
thinking of trying it in my 2332

been told the s on the end could mean billet steel hoping they can shed some light on it

Did you buy that from me?  If so, it's not a billet steel version.  It's the version listed in the Pierside link.  I sold mine with a set of SLR lifters if that helps?

Probably did brought a couple of years ago put on shelf and then lost interest in my bug now 2 years later and started tinkering with it again

I used a few of those cams in hot street motors, one with Heads Up 44 x 37 heads/ 10.6:1 / 48IDA with 40mm chokes, made 213hp @ 7100 on Heads Up dyno
All engines I installed this cam in took special adjustment to get valve timing correct. The flange was drilled off index, so you need to watch cam timing and adjust accordingly. Maybe yours is correct, but crucial you make sure.
All three engines had extremely loud valvetrains.
The engine in my car that used this cam was very difficult to drive on the street. Specs were 94 x 84, 5.600 rods, 11.6:1, 44 x 37 welded VW heads, 48IDA with 42mm, custom ignition advance curve. It ran well 5500 and up. Needed 1500 to idle. Cranky on idle circuit, and rough into main circuit. Valvetrain way too loud for street car. I ran ERCO triples with Ti retainers, shimmed .060" from bind.

I don't care for this cam.
