Hello

Engine 88x94 . Race only. SLR XR 329 Angle flow heads Ti 50 x 38 . Rod 5.88.  2" exhaust

I have a doubt with my new camshaft right now
Cam cart said
In Open 35.5
IN Close 71.5
Ex Open 71.5
Ex Close 35.5

Installed with 0 washer I got below
In open 32
In close 77
Ex open 69
Ex close 37

Installed with 4 deg washer
In open 36
In close 73
Ex open 72.5
Ex close 33.5

That will have 108.5 lobe center on Intake and 110.5 lobe center on exhaust.

Should I run it or do I need 6 deg washer which I dont have in hand? Shifting at 8000 rpm

cam card readings indicate this is ground with intake lobe center @ 108 ATDC, and exhaust lobe center also 108.

Your zero washer is netting you about 3 degrees retard
The 4 degree washer is netting you about 1 degree advanced. I would suggest this setting over retarding cam timing. Next I would check piston to valve clearances on both intake and exhaust, and if you decide to change cam timing, recheck.
