They are original VW Type 3 Window blanls from a type 3 van.

How are they held in??

normally spot welded to the window frame but we are going to bond them.

I thought they were held in like normal glass with the rubbers . Had a guy at my old club with a set fitted in his square back and I could have sworn they were held in with the original rubbers with an insert to spread the rubber a bit as the steel is a bit thinner than glass . Don't know if that helps any Russell .
