Sell autographs??? Isn't it easier to ask people directly money? instead of an autograph?

 Grin
Unlike some others I could mention(!), I would never sell my autographed book! Too many memories...  Smiley

Pfiouuu I feel better now!

If I have a good memory, we eard about a new book rumor, one or two years after the first cal-look book, ten years ago.  Roll Eyes

The rumor :
Some peolpe who get completely involved in the seventies california vdub scene were woken by the book  Shocked from a prolonged volkscene hibernation. Some of them sent you letters, picures and little historic rectifications or detail of the first volume. Those documents where the first step to the second opus... Huh

Keith could you confirm this "old" rumor ? Or tell us what was the first step to do it again ? And what make you fight to realize your Cal-look "New Testament" project to the end.

ps: Sugest for the autographs. 100 books hidden with préprinted autographs Cool But it's not so funny !

Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks 4 all.

Hi, not quite sure how to take this posting? Is it a criticism of me because I could not find a publisher to do a second version?  Huh Oh well... I can tell you that the people who ran the original publishing house have approached me about some new books and, among other ideas, I suggested a follow up to the original – and they have agreed.

Keith, I think what Mike is trying to say is that your book was responsible for getting some of the '70's cal look guys who'd dropped out of the "scene" back interested in VWs again, and the rumour was that some of them had sent you stuff relating to that time, which had made you realise that there was still more to write. But I might be wrong! Wink

Aye, without that first book I would probably be back in hotrods. So I can blame Keith for all this money I am spending on my Looker.  Grin

I was one of the ones that was "woken up" with the first book. I always kept in touch with my cal-look roots as I still have many close friends from that time. The books portrayal of the scene in a historical context certainly change my perspective and made me appreciate even more my experiences. Since the book came out and my involvement with The Lounge, I've often said; "If I known I would be talking about this twenty-five years later, I would've taken notes!"

However, I was upset at some of the parts that were left out. That kept me from purchasing a copy until recently.

Anyway, I hope that during one of your trips to So Cal, you and I and can get together... hopefully with Bill.

Avatar? What avatar?  Cheesy

Book is hard work, trust me. I just hope all of you won't be disappointed when it eventually comes out. It can't have the same impact as the first as so much more material is now out in the public domain, but I'm trying my best... I think you'll like it. I do have some real gems when it comes to photos, that I can promise you.  Smiley
