Sheep reminded me of this old Buggy House story.....

A lady came into store, all by herself. She came to counter and Frank asked her how he could help her. She pulled a wadded up note from her purse and said "My son asked me to pick up a 1700 pound clutch for him for his Bug. I am concerned though, that I can't carry something that heavy in my car."

there was a day Frank sold this lady (that came to the shop in a '69 Bug) a front Bug hood. He went back to the warehouse, carried it up front, then rang her up and settled her tag with us. Neither him or the lady thought about how she was going to leave with it. He did offer to walk it out to her car (not sure Frank saw her pull up out front in the '69). I saw him follow her out and she walks to the car and he just stops. She turns around and smiles and says "here we are"
He was out there for over a half hour trying to shove it past the front seats and tuck the nose of the hood back behind the rear seat area. Then he realized she could never fold the seats back upright so the lady could drive the car. He tried opening the front hood... he tried laying one end out the passenger window. It was a riot.

My club went to a show many years ago and one of the guys bought a new bonnet and had exactly the same problem - we ended up tying it to the one on the car with a sleeping bag between them! A nerve wracking 100 mile drive home!
