Hi,

I have just received a set of nice heads through the mail.
Unfortunately, they did suffer at one stage during transportation, fins are broken / bent.

Can it be repaired? Who could fix that in Belgium / Europe?

Cheers

All that damage could have been avoided by proper packing.  Put them chamber to chamber and tie them with zip straps.
Put them in the box and send them back to the guy who doesn't know how to pack things.
Then do a chargeback on your credit card.

Contact the seller and see if he wants to give you your money back.

If you want to keep them , heat finns , and straighten them out carefully !
Get the fin welded on .

Depends on who the seller is, some like to spend it elsewhere once paid and you will never get it back

I would do a reasonable compromise. Try and make a deal where you keep them and run them as is (they?ll be fine I?ve ran ones like that) plus get some of the money back. Win win.

It sucks some people don't give a shit about how much money you've given them and treat your purchase with no respect. How hard is it to pack something properly?

Those broken fins can be welded and the bent ones maybe straighten by screw driver.

I have also ones fixed and welded same kind damage. But for you Morgan, I am a little bit far away. I am sure you can find some one in Belgium to weld those fins. Tig welding by ac/dc machine is the way to go.

Yes I am the one whose heads mikko k repaired by welding. They came out really nice!

But my heads were much worse. Mine had cracked fins up to 4th row of fins. I tried to contact the seller and he said he'll make a claim for it in the post office cause the package was insured.
Never heard of him...

And my heads were done Clyde Berg so I really didn't want to throw them away. Beautiful heads.

When a credit card is involved, you always get your money back.
