for some odd reason I've never read this topic.  I just went completely in every detail through it.  You sir are a mad man, in a positive way!  Blown away by the amount of little details you came up with that a regular bloke would never notice.

Yes Karl it’s a 6 volt 90mm generator but been rewound to 12 volts like the Porsche ones are

I don’t have any good photos of the apron mounting points. In this photo you can see three sooty welds where some small m6 bosses were welded into place [ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ]
And here you can just about see the tabs that were welded to the apron and small m6 bolts holding it all together [ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ]
