I have recently bought a beetle and the engine spec is detailed below. Can anyone estimate what sort of power this should be making. Also where will the powerband be and what would recommend for rev limit.

Built a 1914 for a friend , with the parts he had , Engle 120 , ported heads 42/37,5
9,5 comp.  Python 15/8 exhaust  , made 148 hp , not much Down low ( too big ports)
but a lot of fun 👍

I'm pretty sure Pete Roberts at Funkenblitz built the motor. Give him a call as I'm sure he will know

Yes it was Pete that built it. Didn’t want to bother him about it though.

If you can find someone with a chassis dyno that’s the best.
I had mine done at a car show and it was cheap!
