FOR SALE - 1963 beetle, java green, 1776cc with fresh MOT.

I have owned the car for around 10 years and I am not driving her as much as she needs. When I first bought the car she was driven in all weather to go to events and holidays up and down the country. Since our son was born 5 years ago she has been driven very little and sometimes declared SORN over the last few years. She has been garaged under a lined waterproof cover. (Comes with car which cost £200) She was restored fully by owner before me and have lots of pics of resto.

We are about to do a loft conversion on the house towards the end of summer so could do with the cash instead of putting against the mortgage.

69mm counterweight crank
043 heads (40x35 valves)
pertronix ignition
Dual 40 dellortos
1” 5/8 Stainless header/muffler from Daz at air-cooled performance
(possible NOS A1 exhaust but no ID stamp)
Wide 5 ercos. 5.5" street weight rears. 3.5" bubbles race weight fronts.
Big tyres on rear skinnies up front.
Custom Vw Speedshop rotors with Willwood 4 pot disc brakes up front.
CB dropped spindles.
Wide 5 drums on rear.
1967 pan with ball joint front suspension
Gt gearbox taller 4th cruising gear (unsure of ratios)
Gene berg 40% shifter
Original steering wheel
Original retrimmed seats
Original semi w decklid
Battery isolator behind rear seat
x2 12v sockets
Gaz adjustable coilovers
Lexan plastic rear windows with cal look rubber all round
Quarter lights work and in decent condition
spark plug access panels
1700lb kennedy clutch
Repro fuel tank 2007ish
Full rewire by previous owner
Period stereo with kenwood amp pioneer 6x9 speakers. (Not wired up)
Auto Meter Pro comp gauges. (Only tachometer wired up at mo)
T-bars (high quality stainless from funkenblitz)
Underneath is solid but not the prettiest - no advisories on recent MOT
Paintwork - okayish but has bubbles and scratches and showing age.
(Front wings need painting as were off the car for a while when getting indicator holes welded and Lucas 488s fitted, scratched in transit look scruffy, I was going to replace with day mouldings but havnt got round to it)

She has a fresh MOT and fuel!
She is 56yrs young, far from perfect but still puts a smile on your face and sounds awesome!

Located in Harrogate North Yorkshire.
Not open to silly offers trades or deals as need the cash for the loft conversion.
If somebody has cash and time to pamper her then please get in touch.

Asking £9000.

I hope there is. as at that price it is hard to find a car that has those specs and seems to be in good condition. sad to see it go though.

Cheers Nicolas. Fingers crossed I could do with the space and it’s a shame to see her not being used again for the next year.
