So I was installing seat belts in the back and lo and behold I can't find the threaded mount for the shoulder point, a little of research showed that 62 to 66s have it....so do 68 and later....but it looks like 67s only have mounts for lap belts in the back, is that right?
Any ideas to install a car seat in a 67 are welcome  Grin

I believe those threaded inserts found on the B-pillars are used only on the Standard models, and not the export Deluxe with the zoomy retractable belts.

My car is US-Spec,  the B-pillar does have threaded mount for the shoulder point for the front belts,  but the rear seat doesn't seem to have it

I've never heard of mounts for three point belts in the back of any bug regardless of year, just the lap belts.

No upper mount in the rear of my US 67 either, I even pulled the headliner away looking for the mounts.

Here's a pic of '67 rear seat belts. They're super rare but they're out there. I'm looking for a set for my '67 vert.

Dave, here’s a couple photos to make it even more interesting.

You’ll notice the first photo appears to be aftermarket made by American Safety iirc.
The second pic appears to be made by Repa. I can’t confirm either of those but that’s what the labels look like to me.

If there's anything that gets '67 nerds all hot and bothered it's finding out that there are even more weird and obscure parts for us to hoard... man, those things look cool!
