I'm advertising this race car on behalf of my compadre who is sadly selling it due to personal issues. Not Cal Look as such but hopefully of interest to a racer here.

Soooo, here goes:


Tube Chassis Genuine Oval Steel Body Drag Car


Body & Chassis

The body is a genuine steel oval body which was a good, dry shell to start with, modified to fit the tube chassis and featuring a one piece flip front. Chassis has been built to an 8.50 tag with an SFI 25.4 main cell all built from ProFormance Metals ROPT 500 tube.

It's an IRS 4 bar at the rear with 1303 front suspension and custom lower wishbones. All sat on fantastic Weld Magnum 2.0 wheels.











Engine & Gearbox

Engine is a 76mm x 96mm Type 4 engine with all the right bits in it; dry sump, efi, turbo, all bolted to a 091 weddle geared gearbox and Bear's Motorsport rapid fire shift system.




Owner is looking for offers based around £13500, but he will entertain serious offers. This price is for the complete car, engine and parts detailed MINUS the gearbox and shifter which are now sold.

This car is 90% dry built and has 95% of the parts needed to complete the build. The car is based at RNJ Motorsport in Northampton & Rob at RNJ can talk you over any of the details you need to know about this car (including finishing the car if you need him to).

Owner would now be willing to break this into chunks to make a sale. Therefore rolling chassis & body, engine & gearbox can now be negotiated separately.

Revised Package Prices As Follows:

£5500 as a roller on wheels & slicks without engine and gearbox (gearbox & shifter now sold).

£4500 as a roller on spacesavers without engine and gearbox (gearbox & shifter now sold).

£8000 for engine package.

£13500 for complete car (minus gearbox & shifter, now sold).

Engine spec sheet for those who asked:

Type 4 Turbo Engine For Sale

78 x 96 forged, counterweight crank with Remmele front pulley, cro-mo flywheel and Stage 3 clutch cover. All balanced.
Custom J & E pistons on H beam rods, all match weighted.
Euro race barrels.
Euro race super racer heads with 911 style exhaust ports form new amc castings.
Webcams custom ground, hardweld cam with magnum gears and lightweight Type 1 style lifters.
Case is shuffle pinned and has ARP oversize through bolts and ARP head bolts along with sleeved lifter bores to take Type 1 lifters.
Autocraft 3 stage, dry sump pump.
Pauter roller rockers.
Custom built inlet manifold with charge cooler and 80mm throttle body.
Custom charge pipe from turbo to throttle body with BOV.
Twin scroll exhaust manifold fitted with twin tial 38mm waste gates.
Borg Warner S200SX turbo. Mini Alternator.
Omex 600 ECU & loom with all sensors and a custom made harness.
GFB electronic boost controller.
Proper Bosch 044 fuel pump with aem pressure reg.

The engine has not been run and needs a few bits to finish off; a set of injectors, a clutch disc and some hoses. The engine was designed and built to make approximately 500bhp once set up.

Now reduced as follows:

Rolling chassis to £5.5k inc wheels and tyres.

£4.5k on spacesaver wheels.

Engine package £8k.

Full car minus gearbox and shifter (that are now sold) £13500.
