Any suggestions for replacements for my 68?
Mine are ratty so I’m planning to redo the windows which I installed back in the 80s.
I ordered a set from cip1 thinking the seals are all the same but they sent me funky ones that need assembly, gluing and trimming to install. I’d like ones with the moulded corner and install like stock.
No picture with this Pierside choice unfortunately.

I asked Pierside and they have the same EMPI kit that I have.
These new ones lack the felt coating for the glass which is on the old ones.
Baby powder is needed to help the seal not fold in use.
I might stick with the old seals and just replace the glass channel felt.

The bugpack kit is the best quality iirc. Although I appreciate tracking them down now is a challenge

I did mine with scrapers from Woolies Trim in the UK . They do two different sizes , I used the larger one on the inside bonded directly to the door , and the smaller on the outside , bonded to a black painted ali trim , They work great , tons better quality than any 'kits'  Ive used before .
Their felt channel is also way better quality than the crap supplied with the kits .

Cheers , Rob

I even managed to pie cut mine at the ends so they curved up to follow the line of the window aperture .

Thanks Rob, I see the felt channel on their site, but not the scrapers? Do you have a link?

Thanks Bryan, do you know if the Bugpack scrapers have the felt coating where the glass slides over the scraper? You can see in my picture how the ones I have are plain rubber. The second pic is my original seal with the felt. I should see if I can find out where I got mine originally.

Awesome! Are they to fit a late bug?

Yes they are. Still in the original packaging. I would sell them for $30.00, but I`m not sure about the shipping. I`m in California.
