Hello

I have bought a set of 88 mm mahle piston but I am a little unsure which pistons rings goes where.
The top two ring are both 1.5 mm thick but different in color. One is dark Grey and the other is a light Grey.

Look @ profile of the ring (from end of ring)
One should have a bevel angle on ID of ring, this is top ring
One should have and "L" cut in OD of ring, this is 2nd ring and L goes upside down

good luck,

Jim

Thanks for the answer. My rings only have the angle on the inside not the "L" on the outside.
Mmmm... 🤔 🤔

the silver colour should be the top ring,
look under a magnifier, they look to have a moly inlay on the face against the bore.
