Hey guys , as i am rebuilding my engine with more knowledge than a the time i first put it together , i wanna pay mor attention to the details .
I ve got VW crank ( balanced and light as it can be ) with CB con rods.
Now i wanna make sure the clearance between the bearings and the crank is right to  assure a proper oil film in them. But what is the correct free play clearance to go for ?
I thought about clamping the rods with the old ARP bolts down to measure , then adjust them and putting them together with the new set of bolts .
I don’t wanna use the new bolts to stretch them , loosen them and then re torque them again.
I gonna measure them not with a plasti gauge but with the micrometer bore tool

0,05-0,8mm in diameter is ok.
