Not sure if this can be considered Cal-look , but here is my 1970 ghia , getting a new engine right now .
Kicked out the 90‘s Recaro seats and put in some 914 , period correct steering wheel which my son found while we cleaned up a barn  , and an original Blaupunkt instead of the fancy digital display radio .
Standing on original Sprint Stars , lowered by Kerscher front beam
Engine is going to be :

1600 cc
C35 cam
36 Italian IDF
Full Flow

So it is in and running great Wink
I love the Webers in a Karmann engine bay !

As i had the pedals out to put a new clutch cable in , i took the opportunity to put in a roller gas pedal , but i didnt like the black plastic , so i did a quick aluminium one .
