Hi all, I’ve purchased a new case that’s already been opened up to94mm, problem I have is that the Mahle barrels don’t sit in all the way, anyone else had experience with this?

In the first pic you can see a slight line round the barrel, it fits in up to that point

Whoever machined the case didn't cut it deep enough...

Is that a step on the barrel itself?

Looking at the pic, the initial opening of the case needs to be slightly larger to except the larger stepped portion of the cylinder.
The case has been step cut, you may find the second cut needs enlarging too

It would be a lot easier to take a little off the barrel at the step rather than taking it to a machine shop to re cut the case surely!!

What are your thoughts on that guys?

There is always that way. Just would have to repeat if you ever replaced a barrel

I reckon I’ll go with grinding the barrels down, easier for me to sort I think

Have you tried all the barrels in one hole or all of them?

I wondered if one spigot had been machined a little tight on the case.  Cheesy
