hope to finish my project this winter.  I've been working on it for 5 years.  I'll make a post soon with progress pictures and more info in the "da werks" section.
I need to finish my interior and some minor details.  engine is ready, brakes, suspension is ok...

Sweet decklid. Where did you find one for a '67? That is going to be a good looking car. What color is that?

My '67 is still sitting up on jack stands in the garage waiting on me to find time to finish the front suspension overhaul.

it does look good, not quite sure if it needs the trim on the sides, but this car will come out very nice.

I got mine from Daniel Hood a few years ago, never mounted. I *think* they were sold by Auto Haus back in the day.

I'll have to take some pictures! The '70/'72 is nearly finished welding-wise, most of the filling has been done so it'll get prepped and painted early next year. The '51 is stillunder a cover - I know that I'll ignore the other cars to play with that one if I get it out! The '67 is being used daily at the moment (yes, even in the frost and ice!) but needs lots of little jobs doing now!

Well, running in the engine untill the snow falls Smiley
Thera are some welding issues unfortunaltely in the rear quarterpannels, and some corrections in the paintjob in some places plus a dechroming job. I'd like to avoid a profesional full respray, because of the costs. My Clubmate has a compressor and a painting pistol, so I hope it's not that difficult Smiley
Besides there is some wheel-deal to do plus a few inches more drop in the front. Upholstery shold be done, cuz it looks more like rat-rod style, than a california-cutie Smiley
Lots of stuff, and so little time. Hope to get through with at least majority of it before EBI#2...

Thanks for the comments guys. Keeps the motivation up to get it done. Have to finish puting the engine together along with some fuel plumming, vent wings and small details. Looking foward to seeing all of your cars as well! The car is painted the factory color (Lotus White) with brick red interior and some special bucket seats to top it off  Grin. I happened to stumble on the decklid by accident. I was over at a friends shop here in the Bay area (volks athourity) and he offered it to me. Without hesitation, I gladly took it off his hands. Drivetrain consists of a 2332 and a GB 5 speed.

Hi Fabian, it's a real standard. And it looked like this when Alex Taylor and I picked it up...

Since then Lofty mixed with the wrong crowd, The Greenhearts. He only booked it in to have the brakes converted from cable by Alex (Defcon3), when he went to pick it up it had been dumped at the front and had a set of slots on it  Grin

Oh yeah, I nearly forgot about my car  Cheesy

Looks like my 2276 will be in within the next week or so. And I might ne tempted into a new set of wheels if I can ever decide on what to go for  Roll Eyes

I might see if I can steal Lofty's wheels to see what they look like on mine  Wink

I hadn't seen that picture above before - have a copy saved now  Wink

Hi Fabien,

It is indeed a real 1958 standard that Alfie and Seedo kindly went and picked up for me and drove back to the UK (via some 'private' clubs).

Has now lost the bumpers and indicators that received much ridicule, as well as losing the hubcaps from the slot mags.  Shoul dbe fitted up with the 2276cc sometime over the winter.

Alfie I thought you didn't like the 'capri' wheels?

Ah yes, we spoke before when I first registered on here - yours is the one in Volksworld with the Empi interior and period motor?  I love it!

I went for black t-bars to harden the car up a bit more and was going to powder coat the slots a really dark grey, but Alex was not so keen and changed my mind for me.

Want to do a decklid swap?  Wink
