Turbo oil return
«

I have a bus that's running a single throttle body that's turboed. The previous owner has plumbed the oil return out of the turbo through an independent pump and back into the block off plate of a universal case.
I'm wanting to simplify things and remove the pump, I have a deep sump that has an oil fitting within, what I'm wondering is if there would be enough pressure out of the turbo to return the oil into the deep sump.
Any advice is gratefully received.

Is the turbo mounted above the level of the fitting in the sump ?
Or in other words, would there be a drop/fall on the return pipe ?

There is definitely a fall of approximately 2 to 3 inch I would say but I haven't fitted the sump with the oil return yet but going on the position of the current sump extension I would say so.

As long as it can drain down with gravity it will work fine, keep drain hose size as big as possible AN-10 at least is my choice
cheers Richie
