So in March i've sold my 1972 beetle after 12years (from driving low to how it looked like the picture) and bought a 1966 standard in Holland.

How it looked when i bought her

It passed technical inspection from the first time and then i brought her over to "The Dubcave" for a full check up, dropped spindles, transforming her to 12v and a new fueltank/fuelmeter. And i've found some BRM's online and put 145's and 185/80 on.

Just spindles (after buying it and other stuff...the budget ran out)

Engine, gearbox and discbrakes are on the list. CSP disc's shouldn't be a problem for the technical inspection in Belgium

Looks fantastic! I also have a white 1966.

Any interior photos? What are your plans for the engine and gearbox?

Just a nice looking but mostly good running 1776. Gearbox will be overhauled (looking/working as new but with some mods too handle the engine if possible)

This will take some time but..this car isn't going to go away (i wanted something pre67..and got it so this is a keeper)

Got myself the next piece of the 1776-puzzle..up to the next

Been a while but I next to the engine-case and pistons I know got an exhaust..

And since I got it the hood-trim bothered me, the previous owner cut a piece off and placed a Wofsburg-logo on the car...So I tried a short trim but didn't liked it and now got a correct one and it looks smoother

So been a while..but still collecting parts for the 1776 and at the same time needed to replace the seatcovers and put a Gene Berg-shifter in it...so the engine had a slight pause but we get back on track (the goal is still EBI10 next year)
