don't remember if i've something about the car , if someone know if  a report was featured in hot vws let me know and i will scan it

and any idea when the car terrorized the streets of OC Huh to have a idea

Fastest Bug on the street in OC from 80 to 87ish.....Pretty long rein.

Here's a picture I took at Bug In in April of 1982. Mark and his brother Dave waiting in the staging lanes. Looks like a bracket three car at the time. I remember Mark and Larry VanWilgen putting the engine from the "Snooze ya Looze" dragster in that car. Stood it up in all 4 gears!! [ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Looks like it had a half cage in it then, the sort that allowed the back seat to be used. Did it have that all the time or was it something bolted in for strip use? It's not in the car now, but it shouldn't be hard to get one.

Well, It hurts but I have put up the Bug and Nothc to spend some money getting this thing back together.....I know it could be worse but I guess you need priorities....
