316° type1 camshaft ( 299° @ 0,51 ) with 10.4mm cam lift from Frisiersalon Nowak ( www.frisiersalon-nowak.de ). Sporty allrounder camshaft for engines from 1,6 – 2,4l that like an allover performance. The camshaft has a very full profile and is powerfull with stron torque between 3,000 - 6,500min.
The base circle is 28.0mm, lobe center 108°.
Suitable for sporty street.
The shaft is fully CNC machined, highest quality standards were realized here.
Available in solid steel.
Stronger single springs sufficient.
Mechanically very quiet.

Additional features of the steel cam:
- Oil pump groove milled with finger cutter and reduced width for less clearance of oil pump drive.
Thus much more material between flange and shaft makes cam breaking impossible
- axial bearing with the correct tolerance - axial bearing seat does not need to be reworked as often necessary
- Dimensional accuracy perfectly given by complete CNC machining for all masses
- Very high level runaround, well below factory tolerance.
- Surface hardened
- Extremely tight tolerances and very high manufacturing accuracy
- All cams are laser measured in the air-conditioned measuring room with documentation

Do these need clearancing to run 82mm stroke with VW rod journal's?

I built a 2332 ccm with the JN4 with 84mm (50,8mm) without the need to clearencing subsequently.
But with 82mm and 55mm rods I believe you have to reduce the diameter of the cam a bit.
I would check during the build.
The cam is so strong, no risk at all.
