I just received the sad news that Jerry Jess long time VW enthusiast and toy collector has past away today in Phoenix. Jerry was involved in a lot of the VW get together also very involved with the Jerome a yearly event here in Arizona. He was a long time member of the VW bus club and also a member of the Wolfsburg Registry here in Phoenix. Jerry was know all over the world and has done a lot to the hobby. Looking back at the good old days I remember when Jerry had loaned me $3,500 to buy my first bus I do not know of anyone would of loaned me this amount of money. All I can say deep in my heart THANK YOU Jerry RIP.

I just got the text from a friend. He has been suffering for a long time, it is good that he is finally in peace.

I too have been getting updates on his condition recently.
Hopefully he is now without pain.
Godspeed Jerry.

Maribeth and I always enjoyed Jerry's company and looked forward to seeing him at Vintage VW club meets.

Godspeed, Jerry – and warm thoughts to Melissa. A true legend in the scene and he'll be sadly missed.  Sad
