Hi all,

It’s late, I am over thinking and this may be total rubbish, but I have a pair of Comp eliminator heads that have a 33 cc chamber. Originally I wanted them for a high compression ratio N/A motor but now have plans to go turbo. Could my chambers be modified to gain cc by unshrouding the valves more? Thanks in advance!

when the chamber is so small and you have to increase to around 65 cc, there is too little material so it wants to crack

You can make those chambers a little bigger. But you will need pistons that have chambers also.

Make those heads first, then you know how big they will be and then order suitable pistons.

Can't you weld the heads and flycut them again?

That much welding takes hours of work. And after that, new valve seats because they get too much heat.

Welding doesn’t make any sense. Heads will be really expensive..
