Anybody else ever put this cam in a big cc street motor?

I ran one (steel billet) in 2332 in 2000-2001, interesting experience. Fantastic "top end" but tricky around town. Ticky valve noises.

Anybody else have some experience with it?

I disliked the motor as a whole. It wasn't friendly to drive as a "car" unless you were on it full bore. I ran it on Unocal 108 leaded, and was driving it to work and so on. My stupidity to build a high strung prima donna and then try to commute in thick traffic with it. Not that cam's fault there. I was "talked into" going for broke as far as the motor went..."MORE COMPRESSION! MORE CAM! SHORTER GEARS! LONGER STROKE!"....in the end I never enjoyed driving the car.
One other concern I had when running this cam was the extreme amount of valve noise I noticed with this cam.

The top end rush with this cam was demonic though. Would run up right into 7400 limiter like nothing. This was with my 44 x 37 'wedgeport' heads and 40mm vents.

I think flange was drilled off on this cam and on another one too. Both motors required me to run cam "one tooth forward" and then back it up with timing washers. I ran mine advanced to 104ATDC. Never took the car to the strip. But once the motor got a hint of what you wanted from it, it was unreal how hard it pulled. Just curious if anybody else has run it as well, and if they had any quirks?

well, eventually, this cam is going into my good pal's 2332 "ragged edge" motor. Though I found it bitchy to commute with, it sure did wind up and shoot the car down the road. A lot of details are still foggy, but just figure most of them will be on the extreme side of things. Maybe end up being a big brother clone to the 213hp motor I did with this cam back a few years back.

oh yeah! When i bought it, Roger said, "your car will be no different from a race car, except the license plate"

I should have known.
