Hi,
this is a very special question about fitting some pistons of a foreign vehicle...in a VW engine...I want to build a screamer engine, small displacement, with high rpms and i have to, such Johannes P. said,build the engine width as short as possible...
So i want to use pistons with a lower compration high..I have found some pistons from VW,opel vauxhall or BMW  wich have 85,5mm-87mm but with KH of about 26-29mm...there are really nice...BUT they have all 20-21mm piston bolts...So with which material is a bushing made....And could it fitt and fuctioned with smaller bolt instead of 22mm for such high HP/L?

That is only all for high rpm and low rotated masses.. Grin Grin

here are some photos of my TBs(45mm Diamter,50mm intake)..i will use one Tbs per site, kadron manifolds....Megasquirt Injection...

AMPCO 45™ witch is what many high dollar race rod bushings
are made from. AMPCO 45™  is'nt cheap I can tell ya  Angry

Cheaper and less hard bronze alloys should work too, get the
hardest alloy you cn get and go for it Grin

BAS in germany does it for typ 4 rods..
He bushes them from 24mm to 22mm so that you can fit typ 1
pistons(the 'B' 94 mm are lighter) to them.
You can ask the if they do it for typ 1 rods.
