Wow, that is a sweet looking ride. And it was never featured in any other VW mag? I like the black empi fives for a change of pace.

so build one of your own then  Tongue

actually, plenty of people are building de-trimmed cars.

speedwell, the car is still about. i saw it a few years back at a local hot rod show. complete with pinstriping Cry
then it went on e-bay a couple of times and sold to a guy who has thankfully got rid of the striping. it is just as the volksworld feature
(same photo shoot as those above) but is wearing BRMs. cool car

yep!!  Cheesy

i spend some evenings looking through volksworlds from the mid 90's, plenty of hardcore cal lookers featured then, the last 6-7 years, most have kept their trim  Huh

alex taylors 67 is probly the best uk cal look car in the uk that has been built recently imho
everything is perfect on it. twin quietpacks, dechromed, original anodised finish on fuchs wheels= perfect

i'm looking forward to monkiboy's 66, that sounds like its going to be insane.

nothing in cal-look is new, everything is cyclical. the cars you like now are based on those in the 70s,in twenty years or so time you will be moaning about "why doesn't anyone build cars with trim on these days ?" once you accept that fact and just like the cars for what they are, you will appreciate the subtle differences more, rather than just concentrating on one thing Wink
