I can think of some pretty stupid stuff...

The first catalytic converters
EGR valves
5 mph bumpers
The Mustang II
feathered hair
some truly awful TV shows (shazam, CHiPs, Wonder Woman stand out)
Some even worse movies (Hooper, Death Race 2000)
avocado and orange formica kitchens
Huge, oversized Amana microwaves
