Most of the parts you mentioned above does not belong in the cal-look genre/style, like roof racks, eye brows, mud flaps aso. It's like putting low profille tyres on a off-road car, or KC lights on a FATF(Fast and The Furious) Car. I think all the parts we are talking about here looks cool on a custom/old school bug though.

Well...what's the point? If it really is a true looker, there shouldn't be any reason to put on a sign telling everyone what it is...now is it? It's like letting Jesus have a tag hanging around his neck with "Jesus" on....or something like that.  It kinda speaks for itself is what I mean. |

It most certainly IS an add on mr. Pre!
As far as I'm concerned, the factory itself built the first cal-lookers, but then they started adding crome and all was lost. Take a look at this one. No hubcaps, ass up, nose down, and where the hell is all the crome? It even has a pair of T-bar looking bumpers, but just a few minutes after this shot was taken the mechanics went bak to work.
