Autometer Oil Pressure Sender
«

I ended up buying Autometer gauges for the '67. From what I have been reading, the Autometer oil pressure sender doesn't like to be mounted to the engine. To much vibration. Anyone else seen this? How did you mount the sender if you are using the Autometer gauges?
Thanks,

Thanks for the input. I may just run it and see what happens.

My first one lasted for just over 30K (miles) but the second only made something like 5K. I have heard of quite a few failures in general. Mounting it remotely may be a solution or failing that just treat them as consumables and keep a spare handy.

I usually run a dash 3 hose from the case to a remote location for the senders. A 1/8 NPT to dash 3 adaptor will work in the VW case as long as you are very careful not to overtighten.
