Sorry to say, I cannot find any pics of my 911.

I was going to ask them too. If you happen to come across any 70's hot rodded Porsche/VW photos please post them and keep these cool stories coming  Cool

Bill...slightly OT, but do you have any pics of the 911?

Off-topic, but interesting article you did in the October issue of Excellence.

I have to say scott did an excellent job on his car. I just wish he would race it without the decals all over the side and step up and buy some of those original brm sets, HA,($$$). His car is freaking fast.. A 2332, fk89 that has run a 11.30. He is one heck of a driver too. billl
Scott's retiring it as a race car and is putting it back on the street, where it belongs...

Ok, a few years later now. My sister was going through old family pictures and sent me this picture  today. Taken across the street from my parents house circa 1981 ?  ?. Possible better pic to follow. Notice no dkp decals. And notice the California Fed building in the background on the corner of Euclid and Crescent. John Lazenby used to work at the Crawfords Market across the street. The Cal fed 6 story building with the time and temperature displayed on roof since has been torn down..  Again, the ownership order as I have it ,, Greg Aronson, Jim Holmes, Kieth ?..., Bill Rodgers, Cristi Duda, then crash ? ? . As I stated earlier Kieth had a professional photographer take some pics that are in my scrapbook. I did send the Sacramento Bugorama first place trophy to Russel when he bought my 65 looker. This is got to be one of the last pics of the car.      R.I.P.  for ever to be known as THEE  ...   Aronson/Holmes white car...

That's amazing! Man I hate to be picky but isn't the Police car supposed to be a Ford Torino and not a Plymouth? Probably couldn't find a Torino Police car model....

Yes, behind the fence – but you needed X-ray specs to see it.

Could have gone with a Starsky and Hutch Torino and kit bashed it with another cop car kit.

WOW guys... Thanks to Sarge sending me the link in an e-mail, I got to enjoy all those cover creations. Sorry I haven't logged on to the Lounge for sometime so I've missed a lot of what's going on in the VW world. All those cover shots bring back good memories of friends that were "in and around" DKP, along with all the great cars. I also still enjoy the VW get togethers in my area to re-visit those good times. Who would have thought after all these years we're still having this much fun and passing it on to a new generation with the help Cal-look Lounge, Hot VW Magazine, all of you and all your Great VW's.

Did you have to 'clip' the front end or was it OK?

Can't wait to see this in the metal! Jim Holmes will be smiling like a Cheshire Cat.  Cool

No Keith, it was salvable just damage to the front valance which was pop riveted together, the clip done by beckers was very good and joined at the bottom of the door post and the windscreen pillars

Wow Russell, fun to see the White Car coming back...such good memories for me. I know it's a lot of work for you with trying to finish it for European Bug In and I'll be there to see it in person.  Hoping it all comes together, would love to sit in it again. Keep us posted on the progress!!!!

Holy crap! That's ace! I'm going back to the start to read the thread again! More pics please!

Right, I've just read it again. Awesome stories, but one is missing - Russell, how did you come across the car? Where was it, what  condition was it in, missing parts etc?
