they all suck.

Interesting thread! Especially for me, my profession is - brewaster!  Regarding the colour of bottles, I can say we only produce beer in brown bottles...  But did you know beer in green bottles can save life? Here's the story: Some time ago I worked at a brewery at Switzerland. There I met a guy who's friend was working at a brewery on some caribbean island (forgot the name...). The reason why they had beer in green bottles on that island was simple. You have to know, on that island they have no street lights. This means the nights are very dark, literally black, and so is the colour of the skin of the island's natives. If you drive by night the only way to recognize people on the road is the green bottle in their hands... OK, this works with brown bottles too, but then you have to put reflectors on the labels... If the beer tastes bad from a green bottle, you should try it from a plastic bottle. Here in Finland the biggest beer manufacturer has started to bottle the beer in these plastic bottles. I just tasted it last weekend and itīs horrible. I just canīt get the feel out from the plastic bottle.  |

Like Rolling Rock or O'Douls?? Well that's cause it's what my moms ex husband...the alcoholic used to call "phony beer". It's like soda for drunks I think...and if you're stuck out on a boat it's better to drink than some chemical agent used on a boat. |
