Great thread! Love the old pictures, too. I just noticed that Frenchy is on here... NO WAY! Frenchy, don't know if you remember me, but I had an orange '66 Bug and I used be a mechanic at Les Purnell's German Car Repair right after you left there. I think you went on to installing a/c units in new Japanese cars in the Long Beach Harbor. You had an orange early '70s Bug and a yellow Karmann Ghia. My name is Mark and grew up with Dave Purnell, Les' son. Good seeing you on here, nonetheless. What ever happened to your Volkswagens?
