Thanks for the info.

I'm also looking for a new pulley. Anyone have any experience with the Jaycee Pulleys? Or should I go for a equalizer pulley.

Do I need anything extra with the Wiseco pistons?

Just a decent set of snaprings. (the piston pins are made in Taiwan, i'm having those checked on hardness).

Normally you could use the following processes or methods: Rockwell, Brinell, Vickers, Micro, Mohs and Scleroscope (the Hammer method). Fortunately i can also have the pins and other parts checked on their metal and bi-metal (crap) substances within 5 seconds.

Harry

Parts should be arriving soon.

Also ordered a Gene Berg Equalizer Smiley.

Will me engine benefit from installing larger vents in the IDA's? What size should I use?

Started on the bodywork.

Going to replace the rear valance and make it removable.

Bumper brackets are also a bit rusty so going to replace them. Also these are not the correct ones but for 1972 and later beetles

Well waiting on parts now Smiley. Brought my case to the machine shop for checking and shuffle pins. Furthermore I'm cleaning my inner wheel wells. Lots of Tectyl was put on them by the previous owner.

Cleaned all the parts I'm using from the 1915cc engine.
