Had some bad luck with my thesis for school these last weeks. Haven't been to any meeting (Bitbug, Budel, EBI 3) which I wanted to go Sad. Just have been busy with school and work. But last Sunday I did some work on the bug. Engine is in the car. Just need to do some small things and than it is ready for the first start up.

Hi Felix,

Thanks! Yes I didn't synch or jet it yet. I'm sorry but the DVK won't be at DDD. We have a dragstrip here in Holland at the Kever Zomer Festijn. (www.keverzomerfestijn.nl) we want to promote the cal-look/dragracing in Holland so that where we are going.

@ Peach, diederick is right. It's from the vwspeedshop.

That's because you must be able to drive back in time when you go that far north. Grin

Long time I posted here. Tongue. Been busy with the enginebay because I wasn't happy with the way it looked. Painted the firewall and powdercoated all the engine tins. Look good IMO Smiley

Long time no updates. Had some troubles with this car. Stock gearbox was destroyed. It has a built gearbox now with close ratio 3 & 4, SAW axles etc.

Also the complete front end has had an overhaul.. spindles etc and CSP brakes.

Very small clip..

Drove 800kms last weekend, made 6 runs @ DDD with no problems! Had a great weekend! Racing, watching, beer & burgers @ DFL (thanks guys!).

A cool pic shot from the weekend.

But I want to go faster! Looking for a set of new heads that suit the FK-8. Also changing the ignition to a CB/MSD and the exhaust to one from A1 (thinking of 1 3/4). Is that to big? Any tips for heads to look for?

It's winter again so time for some updates!

Ordered a A1 lowdown header and muffler yesterday. Will also rebuild the engine.. 78.4mm DPR.

Still looking for a good pulley, have had some troubles with the equalizer from CB. It welds itself to the crank.. I like the Jaycee pulley, anyone any experience with them?

Chambers 53cc so with 1mm deckheight I will get 10:1 CR.

Just found out that a set of Mahle B pistons is no longer available.. Just USD 50.00 difference between a set of Wiseco pistons or a complete cilinder/piston set of Mahle. Do I need anything extra with the Wiseco pistons?
