LOL... Funny about how music does that. I've been searching for some of the music of my youth. Went to go find "Minimum Wage Rock & Roll" by the Bus Boys last night. I found it on Amazon used for... get this... almost $90. Check iTunes and I could d/l the whole album for $10 so I did it. Listened to it in the Jeep on the way to work this morning. Nothing like listening to Black guys singing about wanting to join the Klan and complaining about whites moving into their neighborhood!

Jim, for my GTV Im going to get an iPod and a FM transmitter, then simply play it through my stock Sapphire am/fm radio. It will sound like crap, but maybe that is a good thing. Kinda like playing a vinyl instead of a CD

When I get out to my shop and really need some inspiration I put on Roadhouse Blues with the doors. The start of the song sounds like a race engine cranking over. When you get to the line "let it roll baby roll" the evening is of to a good start. To get the right sound I only play old vinyls that I bought in the seventies with the perfect scratch sound. After the Doors its all old blues, Muddy Waters , Magic Sam good old Chicago electric blues.

I think The Donnas would be some good driving tunes. Rage Against The Machine is good too but it makes me drive too fast...
Here`s The Donnas Myspace link.

JFA and Toxic R? Of course I remember. I think I wore out my Toxic Reasons record. But i think another period group that I love is Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Well I checked that out as I have a Donna's record and I got looking at their links / friends or whatever it is in Myspace and low and behold I've ended up breaking out a Shangri-Las record. Thanks!
It's going to take something like Sonic Youth to rescue this situation...

While driving, walking, working or just chilling at home or garage, I like to hear punk rock music. My insparation bands are mainly : The adolescents, Toxin III, Jerry's kids, The jabbers, Adrenalin OD, Bad Religion, Red kross, Zero boys... It's also associated with early skateboarding and bmx in my opinion.

When I climb in and fire it up, the only sounds I imagine are: ZZTop, LaGrange ... and that's how the ride goes too.

I'm an old guy (really) and I grew up enjoying Roy Orbison, but my first album (vinyl) was the Ventures and it still works for me today...!
