I wanted to know if there was any cal-look clubs in England? Besides The Green Hearts, I don't know of any others myself, but are there any that are active? If so what are they called, where are they based, website, cars and what critera do they have for club entry etc.. I think it would be great to have more cal-look inspired/focused clubs in the UK, as for many I would guess being part of such a club would be great and more of intrest to them, compared with a general vw club. I would of thought that with the heavy intrest in these types of custom vw here, that more cal clubs would of popped up in the UK.It surely would be awesome to see and mean more support of the UK/Europe cal-look/hot street vw and strip scene. Let me know what you think about this subject and if there are any others about which have skipped my radar. Is anyone out there looking to start a club of this kind or just have?
Cheers, Sam (UK)

The ones I remember being prominent going back a bit with a reasonable representation of / emphasis on Cal-Look type stuff would be Spa Dubs, LBCII, and The Giant Killers. I was a member of Der Bahnstormerz which is not really active now for a number of reasons not least of all is the fact that everyone is on different parts of the planet and not available to hang out in North London anymore. All these clubs were pretty active and had been for some time.

Spa Dubs is still going albeit membership is now quite low, mainly due to most people moving away! (Including us!) It was a really healthy club at one point and was divided nicely with some awesome cal look cars but an equally impressive array of Resto Cal cars. The only cars there now though are Cal Look!!

Sam,

Seems like most of the clubs have been mentioned here; there is our guys (by the way if you are in the South of England you're more than welcome to come along to one of our club meets to see what the vibe/cars are like...), the Stoke and Staffordshire VW Club are setting up a stand alone Cal Look club, the Spa Dubs Club had the Black 11's I believe for a short period of time? and then there is gold65turbo's cal look club Ronseal and I think the Uber Alles has now been set up over here.

Good luck finding something or starting something up.  Cool

Uber Alles will be up and running soon as I'm off the So Cal in April to sort it out with the guys over there. It will not be a Cal Look club just a get together of like minded people who like to do a bit of racing from time to time. Grin

As for Ronseal dont know to that much about it just heard some guys talking about it at the weekend.

Sounds like a few have come and gone then, like other clubs have, it takes alot to keep a club going strong like these, especially for a long time I guess. It's great to see that another UK club is starting up though and it will serve the northern followers of cal-look well, so will this club be taking on a different name, since it is a off-branch of an exsisting club?

Tim, that offer of coming down to one of your club meets and checking things out sounds great, thank you. So when do you all meet up and everything. I'am down south so would make sense to come and have a look at things. You can PM or email me the details. Cheers, Sam.
