Thought it had a good place here too.
To begin with, I myself said for many years 1914 cc but not so long time ago I commented to Johannes Persson at JPM that he used to say 1915cc.
First we argued a bit and then we took out the calculators and he won. I hate losing.
Calculate with Pi 3.14 and the engine is 1914,4 cc BUT if you use the full Pi 3.14159 the engine is 1915.4 cc.
There you go! End story for all of you (and me) who use to call it 1914.
New and correct name is 1915cc.
Now to the more serious one.
I bought
62 mm Terminators and what did they measure?
61 mm which is pretty close to 2.4".
Were the heck did 62 mm came from, I do not know and Shawn Geers just said that it was what he got when he bought the tools from Jack Sachette.
I have some more comments about that but I will keep it private.
...and never mind, I love them anyway!
Next story....
Just bought a set of
51.5 mm Webers from ....never mind from were.
I measured them and I checked again and what size are they?
51.2mm.No big deal and OK, if this is the most secure diameter on this casting, that is fine, BUT do not call them 51,5 mm carburators.
I like them too and it will be fun to run back to back tests with them and the 61 mm to see what torque and HP curves I get on my 2732,988 cc engine....well, lets call it 2733 cc.
