Pictures first, these where taken today.........

1964 (65 Model) Cal Look Beetle specification.

After a little over two years of ownership the time has come for me to pass this car over to its next very lucky custodian. It is without doubt one of the best Cal Lookers ever to have been built in the U.K.

The car was subject to a complete nut and bolt rebuild and restoration by Lyndon Creamer. Lyndon spent best part of 3 years bringing this car up to show winning standard,  and amongst all it’s show winning honours are Best Engine at the Volksworld Show, Volksworld choice at Bug Jam, and the highest honour of them all, Best of Show at Bug Jam.

The car has been a cover star of Volksworld, and the subject of a full 6 page feature. Further to this the car has appeared in a full feature in Street VW’s, a magazine from Japan dedicated to the world’s best air cooled VW’s.

The level of detail and attention that have gone into putting this car together this car really do defy belief, and quality can only be described as first class.

In addition to all it has in appearance, it has a power train which have propelled the car to a best quarter mile time of 13.2, (running on slicks and with a stinger) on street tyres and at a very poor track with traction issues (York Raceway) it was running 13.9’s all day.
During my ownership it has never been entered in a show, I bought it to drive and have fun with. I drove the car to the first European Bug In, and during this road trip with friends trying to keep up with me the car performed faultlessly. I don’t doubt that this car can still win shows if the new owner wanted to enter the car.

Ok. So let’s talk numbers. After doing plenty of research and keeping my eyes peeled on every other car of this type that has come on to the market in recent years I think I am well qualified to judge it’s true value. My price is £10k as you see it, or £9k and you sort your own wheels. My price is firm guys, and I would sooner talk to you all and be straight. I see little point in asking more than £10k and let someone knock me down to £10k just to let them think they have got a ‘deal’. Anyone in the know and with their fingers on the pulse of things will know that this represent fabulous value bearing in mind the cars quality and performance and what else is on the market at this time.

I am not interested in taking any part exchanges or talking to any Nigerian’s. Talk is cheap, cash is king. The car lives with me in Kent, U.K. This is a rare opportunity to purchase a full on show winning car that is ready to go, it wants for nothing.

great car, my bug was in a few shows with it back when it was 1st built.

You could easily spend twice that to build a simliar car.

I should know! LOL and mine is not quite up to that std.

Good luck fella.
