I have to say that one of the cars I've done the most with and had the most fun with was my 2110cc powered 67 I drove to Detroit, Michigan in the spring of 1997. Don Bulitta, Art Thraen and a bunch of us drove over 5200 miles round trip. Here is a shot of mine somewhere in Michigan with my wife at the wheel and Dee Berg riding with her.

They were on the car for the BERG CRUIZERS who went to Detroit. It was an isolated deal. Here is a better shot of the car coming at you with Dee Berg and my wife driving in it.

This was the highlight of the car's life...HOT VWs actually putting a teal green color car on their cover. The same issue had Don Bulitta's 66 and Bob Hole's 67 Vert. Great issue...hee, hee

Its still down in the Phoenix area... saw it a couple weeks ago at the Copperstate show. It's starting to show some wear, but still looks very nice.

I remember seeing that car the first time I went to Phoenix and being awestruck. I thgink in was 1997. I remember that it had IDA's and a fuel injected case which was different than the feature article.

You are right about the IDAs. I did have IDAs on it for that event but it did not have an INJECTED case at the time. I put a block off over the stock fuel pump location that was vented to my BERG breather. Otherwise, I had the IDAs on it for PLAYING in the BURNOUT contest. That same burnout is still viewable on the OCEAN STREET VIDEO...Burnout downloads. It was a great car...very driveable, dependable and all with a 2110cc motor!
Attached is a picture of the motor at the time you are referring to. You can see my vent hose from the fuel pump location to my BERG Breather box.

I had too many things to do to get ready for the show and finally just blew it off. Did not have the energy to finish all the things that needed to be done. I don't have the energy I had 10-15 years ago when I built the last car. Taking things slower.
