We were expecting the worst down in Cornwall but have escaped (so far). The river's high (5.5 metre Spring tide...) but could have been worse...

Being English and all I feel affected by these storms and those of my countrymen.
Ok, I'm bullshitting. The weather here sucks enough and you think it would be nice in California?!

Looks worse down there than it's been up here, a twig hit my windscreen on the way to work but other than that it was just a bit wet and windy with the odd flying fence panel. Get that Bug of yours to high ground and maybe leave the Alfa on a low lying bit of riverside frontage, now that it's been a bit damp it's not like the electrics are anything's going to work on the thing anyway.

Man that sucks. We get a lot of flooding in this area of Florida. I know what a pita it can be. Some where I have a pic of my '47 Ford coupe up on saw horses in my parent's driveway with water up to the bottom of the fenders. Fortunately, it never got in the house.

We've missed it here in the Midlands. It's raining, and pretty well too, but no reall extreme weather like keith's end of the country! Bit of hail on sunday too.

My mom has been there but I haven't. I was looking at an aerial map of Stamford and it looked pretty but almost kinda redneck.
Any thoughts?
